schools or parents alternate options to plan, and handle their payments.
They say they don't deal with colleges, because they rather focus their
attention on schools that actually need help. Now as someone using
this deal, what are the expected benefits, and what are some things to
watch out for?
Smarttuition process
It's basically just an automatic payer that receives, and deposits
payments to your school's bank. You are give the payment options of
credit, debit, and checking that they will alert you for. They would
rather you use your credit or bank account as it is much more convenient
since they will be able to automatically deduct during payday. You will
get yourself a 10 day notification in the form of Email or text as a
reminder. Like everything else in the world it ensures complete privacy,
and complete reliability, but that is not always the case.
Now the whole idea should be simple I mean we all use something similar to
this with other bills, and all we really WANT is less to deal with.
However, smarttuition has its mistakes, and these mistakes are very
counterproductive to their idea.
Whacko payments
Their only job for most of us which is to put our payment on auto-pilot,
unfortunately, can make stressing mistakes. When we all do stuff like this
we do it so we don't have to do anything, we don't want to enter our
information every month, we don't want to click a button, man we don't
even wanna look at it it should be out of our minds. And Smarttuition
seems to make us nervous in that department. As with everything in the
world, the mistakes should be very miniscule, but with late charges, 5-8
business days before processing, and onlinechat/phone service being out of
commission at times, it's very hard to want to give it a chance. Although
the the majority of the users have no issues, there seems to be just
enough users WITH issues to turn away. And if you catch a mistake, and
alert them they'll definitely help, and get it sorted out, but that
shouldn't be, because the purpose is for us to not have to do anything. We
can't be fixing our own problems or we might as well not use this.

Smarttuition is a great idea, but there are other more better
companies that put more effort, and better services. Payments shouldn't be
a problem when you already have the money for it.
